Kennedy Cancer Center Expansion Celebration

Penn Radiation Oncology at Kennedy recently celebrated its expansion, which includes the new vault and installation of a TrueBeamâ„¢ linear accelerator for precise treatment of cancer. Additional improvements were made to the Penn Radiation Oncology Department at Kennedy that include a new, expanded patient waiting area; an additional patient exam room; and an expanded, private dosimetry area for technologists.

Tai Chi is a Chinese slow motion exercise designed to promote good health and longevity by circulating internal energy or 'chi.' Benefits include promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Anyone can do it regardless of age or condition. Great by itself or complements other exercises, lowers blood pressure, improves balance and coordination, slows and improves breathing and builds strength and vitality for cancer patients during and after treatment.
